Starting Your Work At Home Baby Proofing Business |
by:
Cathy Roberts |
How often is an innocent baby injured because of something that could have so easily been prevented? A pill bottle left down to low and easily accessible, the corner of a coffee table? A staircase with no gate? How many of these injuries are preventable? How many accidental deaths involving babies could have been prevented?
You can actually make a difference by starting your own business as a professional baby proofer. We can't stop every accident from happening, and you probably won't ever get rid of every danger, but with some good ole mommy knowledge, and a little research, you can earn a decent living helping other moms both avoid the mistakes you may have made, as well as benefit from your research.
This is a pretty easy business to promote, as you may have noticed above. New parents want to protect their babies, more than anything. A quick trip to the local Wal-Mart store should provide you with most of the tools you will need to do this job, and help keep babies safe in their own homes.
Promoting Your New Home Business
So how does one advertise this service? One way is through agreements with local pediatrician's offices, pre-schools (Many moms of pre-schoolers are expecting or know someone that is) and by swapping flyers with other work from home moms in your area, using our flyer swap forum.
You may also want to design some gift certificates and promote your service as a gift of safety that other parents and friends can give to an expecting mom as a special, and well thought out shower gift.
Jammies Work from Home Tip
Home is not the only place that a new baby will be spending hours of their childhoods, remind moms that they may also want to consider getting grandma and grandpas house, as well as aunts, uncles, best friends, prospective babysitters and anywhere else that the new baby may spend a great deal of time childproofed.
